2023 UBC Giving Day Impact
UBC Giving Day celebrates the power of giving and all the great things we can accomplish when we give together. In 2023, donors generously supported UBC’s Vancouver and Okanagan campuses to help open doors, boost potential and create new opportunities for our community.

Donors like you are making UBC's HeadsUpGuys work possible. Relying solely on donor support, HeadsUpGuys offers the world's most comprehensive resource for men fighting depression and male suicide prevention. Since launching in 2015, 5 million people have visited the website for evidence-based information and support.

Giving Day donors invested in the future of Indigenous youth, while helping to preserve Indigenous culture and heritage, by giving generously in support of the Native Youth Program at the Museum of Anthropology (MOA). Each year this program provides a training and work experience opportunity for up to eight Indigenous secondary students to explore their identity through art and culture and to learn about MOA, UBC and its programs.
Opportunities to learn outside of the classroom are incredibly valuable — and one of UBC’s top priorities. The Office of Regional and International Community Engagement (ORICE) aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and society. Giving Day donors helped fund ORICE’s Experiential Education Accessibility Award.
Thanks to generous donor support, Indigenous youth aged 8-12 can explore a variety of exciting research and educational programs, on and around the university campus, at CEDAR Summer Camp. This annual camp provides a positive learning environment for youth, helping to build confidence and teamwork skills.
The Learning Exchange is a welcoming, informal, and lively hub where UBC students and faculty, alongside Vancouver Downtown Eastside residents and organizations, connect, pursue common interests and learn from each other to bring about positive social change. Every year, around 2,500 residents access programming to develop new skills and confidence which sometimes leads to paid employment or a return to formal education.
